So it all began a few years ago when it became a social media sensation. A new tourist attraction was now open in gods own country- Kerala. We hardly knew what it was. All we did see was an enormously huge Vulture / Jatayu in every social media post! And we badly thought that we should visit the place once.
And recently when team Bakasura had been to Kerala it hit us about this recent internet sensation. The famous Jatayu Earth Center -A statue made to mark women safety and honour. Already at Kerala, we thought why to leave an opportunity. So Bakasura decided to visit this amazing place! The journey itself was an unforgettable one. Let us take you along.
Getting there
The ride we took to the place was by a local bus, there is no direct bus to the place. The option is either a bus and then take an auto ride or a cab. Alternatively, having your own vehicle will solve all of this. Jatayu earth center is located on top of a hill and the ride alone is breathtaking. Evergreen Kerala welcomes you to an unforgettable experience. The bus fares are super affordable. Our one hour ride too was exceptionally good with showers of rain all along the ride.
About Jatayu Earth Center
The entry fee to this place was just ₹400 and everyone wishing to visit, have to mandatory buy tickets online. Just in case you are unable to buy tickets online, there are multiple cyber cafes outside the entrance, wherein you can buy it online, get it printed, before entering the centre.
The Jatayu Earth Center is one mesmerizing place. As you enter, each person is allotted a band across the arm. This is like the entry access for the centre. A clean hallway welcomes you. The hallway is super well maintained with AC and gives you airport feels. The way up the hill is through a cable car. This alone will blow you away. But wait, there is more. It takes you along a breathtaking view across the hills. The cabins of the cable cars are super well maintained. A family of 6 can fit into one cable car.
Coming to the price and the offerings, Bakasura wishes to inform you that it’s totally worth every penny. The maintenance of the place is fabulous, you don’t see waste thrown anywhere, there are hundreds of staff to maintain and keep everything clean.
The Jatayu is built to mark women safety. The place has too many things to offer. Below the Jatayu sculpture, you have a 4D theatre coming up. The entry fee of 400 covers just the cable car ride and the entry fee. However, any other service that you wish to take would come under a separate cost. The place has a helipad to provide an aerial ride across the magnificent Jatayu, you can have an amazing tour if you wish to. That’s not all, there are so many other attractions, from paintball to adventure activities it has it all.
There are cafes, washrooms and everything essential as well and in its finest form! You can clearly spend a complete day here and enjoy every moment. The place is photogenic and is excellent for Photoshoots as well.
