Finally, after the relaxation came in place all the outlets in Namma Bengaluru are opening up. So we too wanted to head out to some faraway place from south Bangalore. Which are both like a weekend trip and a good long drive. That is exactly when we found out about Zoey’s Cafe
Zoey’s Cafe Sarjapur Road
We decided we’ll head out towards Sarjapur road and started searching for some good cafes along the road. We found this place on Zomato and found the ambience pics to be very good. It had a small garden amazing interior and what not. So we called the cafe up and asked them if they are open. We were pleased to hear that they were that’s when we started off.
Zoey’s Cafe – a nest of all the good things
We travelled for around 20kms, a good long drive that we actually wanted and then finally were at Zoey’s.
The place welcomes you with a sign that clearly says ‘Good Vibes Only’ and it actually stands to that too. Probably after the sign, one would just enter, but due to the new normal, it is then followed by temperature checks and registers and sanitizers.
The place feels like a beautiful nest to the bird that was caged in the urban world. It has such an amazing decor. There are cute pink high chairs. Tables are made of these small stones that are super cute and photogenic. One big pink tree welcomes you. The wall art is flawless. There are bookshelves, kids play area and cut little lamps all over.
The table now has sanitizers and a new set of enclosed cutlery is provided every time to ensure safety.
It basically has everything that a dream cafe should have.
Food at Zoey’s
So once settled we ordered beverages to begin. We had their special beat coffee. Their handcrafted coffee. For Bengaluru’s weather, this was a great start. The blend was perfect.
We then ordered all the quick bites. Being a vegetarian, we chose nachos to start. Having nachos after such a long time made us realise how badly we missed it. The dips too were amazing and the crispy nachos were perfect.
We then ordered a veg burger and Aglio e olio. The burger had a beetroot patty and was excellent. Had a good healthy touch to it and didn’t disappoint. The Aglio e olio was a winner. Just Excellent. The garlic in that was so damn good. This one-dish here is a must-have.
To finish the amazing course we ordered two desserts. The brownies to die for and the bread pudding.
Both of these were good, however, we found the bread pudding more as an English breakfast than a dessert. It wasn’t that sweet and was exactly like bread. But the texture of the brownies was really good. Added on ice cream was a winner.
The Overall Review
The staff here are extremely good. They literally come to your place talk to you for minutes together and encourage you to spend some more time. We loved that part. And with such an amazing ambience, who wouldn’t want to sit. The add on food that they offer makes Zoey’s a clear winner.
