Sattvam in Whitefield is a highly recommended outlet by Bakasura. With a fine dine experience and with Sattvic food, nothing else is required for a perfect weekend. Planning to go out somewhere in Whitefield ? Head over to Sattvam
The concept of Sattvic Food
Basically Sattvic food is a diet regimen that gives importance to seasonal food and oils. The concept involves non usage of onion and garlic and lot of other practices. This Ayurvedic practice is well adopted here. The sattvic diet also states that the prepared food has to be consumed with in 2 hrs of preparation. With that concept explained, you can understand on how difficult it is to manage a buffet place with a refresh of the whole spread every two hours
Sattvam Ambience
The whole ambience at Sattvam is the best example of a fine dine experience. The place is beautiful. Wall paintings with that amazing cultural touch is everything bakasura needs. There are quite a few tables. It can accommodate around 100-200 people. The buffet spread is on one corner and hence all the people collecting it wont disturb the tables. You can have a peaceful time.
Sattvam Food and the So Wide Spread
The spread is just fabulous. From starters to the desserts, a sane person cant have it all in one sitting. But you dont know bakasuras capacity. We had almost everything. Yes Almost. The spread is huge. Let’s take you through.
Starters and Welcome Drinks
The first thing Bakasura started with at Sattvam was the refreshing welcome drink, the Kesar Tulsi Shikanji. The flavour of Kesar was rich and the tulsi was a perfect blend.
Then bakasura was served with all the starters and the soup. Ragi pomelo papdi chaat, tamatar tulsi shorba, paneer tikka, dahi bhari tikki, makai malai seek, Bharwan aloo, crispy babycorn in pulm sauce, jalebi dhokla chaat and chocolate pani puri.
All this were served right at the table and that is how it is, the starters are served on table and the main course have to be collected.
To talk about the starters, every single one of them was perfect. The paneer was so soft, the hummus served with the crispy babycorn was exceptionally good. The Dahi bhari tikka was our favourite and we just cant forget the flavour. The tomato soup was perfect blend. The chocolate pani puri was exceptionally good and the pani was of orange flavour. While the puri alone was good, the combination of the pani and puri wasn’t great.
The Main Course
Bakasura then headed straight to the buffet spread. the spread started from chats, salads, main course, live italian counters to desserts. There were many.
While the chats were perfect, there were 8 types of sides for the breads too. Ranging from dal makkhani to paneer, it had it all and everything was finger looking good.
Chole bhatura, pizza, pasta, podi idly, lemon rice, curd rice, puliyogare, rice and rasam, biryani, what do you want? it had it all. The taste was extremely good. As everything was sattvic diet, it didnt have soda, it wasnt heavy and hence bakasura had lots.
Desserts
The dessert spread was the best. From sugar less rasmalai, raagi shavge paysa, so many types of cakes and pastries, chumchum, everything was fantastic.
The texture was good, the pastries weren’t too sweet. The Kheer was the best of all.
The Service and Staff
The Service was extremely good, they changed plates so often, they helped lots of the old guys from getting what they want. The staff were friendly. the service of the starters was so professional. There was one guy for every table always ready to serve you with a happy smile. Kudos
