While most of you are already aware of, yellow chilli is a chain of Restaurants by renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor. When stating the obvious, the amazing food takes you away, the fine dine experience is no less as well. Redefining Indian food since years. Bakasura had been to the Chruch Street outlet few years back and he finally visits the Jayanagar Branch. Exceptional chef curated food, a peaceful fine dine experience and an ever smiling staff makes this place a must visit.
Finding Yellow Chilli
If you are native bangalorean, then you would definitely know Jayanagar, one of the most planned area of Bengaluru. Located around a kilometer from the metro, this is close to the Jayanagar shopping complex. Located in old bangalore, yellow chilli isn’t hard to find
This place is located inside a building which is a lodge. Hence there are rooms all the way and on the last floor you find yellow chilli. The fine dine experience is good with dim lights all across. The seating is good and the place has around 20 tables which can accommodate around 80 people.
Yellow Chilli Food
When coming to the food, bakasura had been with a plus 1 and thus couldn’t try a lot of items, that being sad, you still don’t know the capacity of bakasura. We did try a lot of items and lets get into it.
The starters we ordered were harippa paneer tikka, shabnam ke moti and tangra chilli paneer.
Of which the paneer were exceptionally good. We also had a nimbu dhaniya soup which was so soothing for the weather.
Coming to the main course we ordered garlic naan with lalla mussa dal and shaam savera. The shaam savera was just amazing. The spinach kofta in the shaam savera was so perfectly made and the creamed cottage cheese was heavenly.
And as the gravy was excess, we also ordered peas palao. The palao was properly cooked and didn’t seem heavy with soda.
To end the course we ordered kesari kulfi with rabdi and zauk e shahi.
Which was out of this world! Bakasura wished he took the chef home just for those desserts.
Yellow chilli Verdict
With a menu set by the Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor himself, there was no doubt in its quality and taste. Added to that the ambience and staff didn’t disappoint us and made sure it went to bakasuras list of must visits!
